You will first need to make a magic ring. I think this is the nest way to start a circle and you can find it here: Magic Ring
I used an H hook and kitchen cotton. You can used any size yarn and hook to make any size you like. Gauge is not important.
OPEN FLOWER
Rnd 1: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc and throughout pattern) dc 23 into center of ring. Draw up snug but not over tight as you can adjust to your desire. sl st into 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Rnd 2: sl st between the ch 3 from rnd 1 and the first dc. ch 5, dc in space between dc and ch 3 from rnd 1. ch 1 *skip 3 dc and dc in space between thrd skipped dc and next dc, ch 2 and dc in same space, ch 1*, repeat* to * 6 more times for a total of 8 V's . sl st in the 3rd chain of beg ch 5.
Rnd 3: sl st into space of 1st V of rnd 2. ch 3, dc in same space, ch 2, 2 dc in same space. ch 1 *2 dc in next V space, ch 2, 2 dc in same sp, ch 1*, repeat * to * 6 more times. sl st into 3rd ch of beg ch 3.
Rnd 4: sl st into next dc, sl st into ch 2 sp from rnd 3. ch 3, 6 dc in same sp, sc in ch 1 sp of rnd 3, * 7 dc in next ch 2 sp, sc in ch 1 sp of rnd 3*, repeat * to * 6 more times, sl st into 3 ch of beg ch 3. Fasten off and weave in ends.
MORE CLOSED UP FLOWER: differences only from Open flower:
Rnd 3: between each set of *2dc ch 2 2 dc* sc in ch 1 sp of rnd 2
Rnd 4: sc between 7 dc is into sc of rnd 3
Note: Differences are intended to be subtle, but are evident. *wink* Picture 1 is open and picture 2 is closed.
